CAPM Study Group Session Who This study group session is open to any PMI and PMI-DVC members in good standing who are interested and preparing to sit for their CAPM exam. Where Virtual using Zoom When This session of the CAPM Study Group will meet twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30pm – 8:00pm from April 12, 2021 to May 17, 2021. The dates to be added to the calendar are as follows: April, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28 May 3, 5, 10, 12, 17 Description This study session is designed for those who are interested in or are preparing to sit for the CAPM exam. Participants will meet at 6:30pm on Monday and Wednesday nights for 6 weeks from April 12th to May 17th. Each session will be focused on important topics covered in the CAPM exam and will be led by industry leaders who have extensive project management experience and high-level knowledge on each topic. This study group also provides the opportunity to ask questions of the instructors and fellow participants, including networking and group discussion. This study group session is open and FREE to any PMI-DVC members in good standing. Scrolling through job postings, preparing for the phone interview, hoping for the second round, finding the right outfit that says, “I’m a qualified professional, but I don’t take myself too seriously,” are all for naught if your Resume doesn’t catch “Good Attention.” A Candidate’s first opportunity to make a good impression and secure an interview relies on the Resume. This one document can make or break your chances for moving forward in the selection process. Today’s Project Management job market is more than competitive; it’s cut-throat and takes no prisoners. More and more companies are moving towards Agile environments in all its many “flavors” such as Scrum, SAFe, Disciplined Agile, LeSS, and Kanban. Fundamentally applying for a job in an Agile environment is no different from applying for any other job. Successful Candidates customize their Resumes and carefully choose the thoughtful and descriptive language to fit the desired qualifications for the posting. A thoughtful approach to presenting our qualifications and Agile experience can catch the “Good Attention” of the Recruiter or Hiring Manager. So how do you get your Resume recognized and make it stand out and get the “Good Attention”? What attracts the opposite of “Good Attention” and causes a Recruiter or Hiring Manager to pass on your Resume? We’ve assembled a panel of professionals who have reviewed thousands of resumes collectively, and we’ve asked them to share their advice.
