Description:
This presentation will equip the audience with effective methods to prepare them as adjunct faculty for teaching project management. It will provide attendees with actionable techniques to enhance adjunct faculty's proficiency in delivering project management courses.

Speaker bio:

Dr. Simon Cleveland has over two decades of experience in managing complex technological projects, including software systems implementations for NASA, Department of Education, Department of Homeland Security, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Accenture, Avanade (joint venture of Microsoft and Accenture), General Dynamics, and AOL. 

For the past several years, he has taught graduate-level courses in project management, information systems, and information technology at Drexel University, Georgetown University, and the Johns Hopkins University.  He currently serves as the Associate Editor for the International Journal of Information Technology Project Management, the International Journal of Project Management and Productivity Assessment, the International Journal of Information and Communication Technology Education and the International Journal of Smart Education and Urban Society. Dr. Cleveland also serves on several Editorial Review Boards for international journals on project management, business research, information and communication technology and knowledge management.

Dr. Cleveland is a three-time recipient of the prestigious Dr. Harold Kerzner Scholarship awarded by the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation and a recipient of a National Science Foundation grant Dr. Cleveland was awarded the inaugural Tropaia Award for Outstanding Faculty at Georgetown University's MPS in Project Management program. In 2021, Dr. Cleveland was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award for his teaching at the Johns Hopkins University.
