Putting the “Learned” back into “Lessons Learned”

Event Title: Putting the “Learned” Back into Lessons Learned

Overview:

Lessons Learned is one of the worst oxymorons in the project management profession. This webinar will cover many of the common challenges experienced with the implementation of lessons learned practices and will provide some practical ideas on how to gain greater value from this critical practice.

It's a common practice to review the good, the bad and the ugly when projects are completed to harvest knowledge which can be applied towards helping future projects. Unfortunately, the effort spent on these activities is rarely justified by the value realized. The term "Lessons Learned" has become an oxymoron as we don't seem to actually learn and apply this knowledge.

This webinar will cover many of the common challenges experienced with the implementation of lessons learned practices and will provide some practical ideas on how to gain greater value from this critical practice.

Objectives:
• Review the challenges of common approaches to lessons learned
• Get some practical tips on how to improve lesson learned practices
• Understand how to categorize lessons for the greatest value
