Who does what, and when: Creating a Product Backlog & Driving Refinement in Hybrid Environments When: Thursday, April 14, 2022, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM Where: Via Zoom Credit: 1.5 PDUs Registration fee: Complimentary (Members only event) Presenters: Leigh Ann Gunther, David Betancourt, & Special Guest At the heart of Agile delivery is the creation and continual curation of a dynamic Product Backlog. Maintaining a well-organized and often revised Backlog ensures that Teams are working on the most important deliverables, which improves team focus, direction, and workflow. Many hybrid Agile-Traditional Project Management environments tap Project Managers to take on this role and own the Product Backlog. Here we find ourselves at the crossroads of Product Ownership and Project Management with an added Scrum Master "directing traffic." Without a doubt, the Product Owner is responsible for maintaining a dynamic Product Backlog, and yet the lanes become blurred at this intersection of roles and frameworks. Join Leigh Ann Gunther and David Betancourt on April 14 as they "repaint the traffic lines" at this intersection and define the roles and responsibilities of a Product Owner versus a Project Manager versus a Scrum Master. They will deep dive into the Product Refinement Ceremony and examine the factors that build a successful session. Finally, they will invite Ryan McGonigle, a seasoned Agilist and Project Manager, to share his experiences in striking the right balance when you are tapped to perform multiple roles in a hybrid environment.
