Description:
Many projects encounter their greatest risks not in scope, schedule, or budget — but in readiness, adoption, and human response to change. These risks often surface late, when corrective action is costly and stakeholder confidence is already eroding. This session reframes change-related challenges as a core driver of delivery risk, exploring why traditional risk registers miss early readiness signals. Through practical examples and a diagnostic framework, attendees will learn to spot hidden risks earlier and translate ‘soft’ signals into concrete risks, issues and dependencies – improving decision quality and strengthening delivery confidence.
Learning Objectives
1) Recognize why traditional risk registers miss early readiness signals — and the specific organizational dynamics (culture, politics, cognitive load, operational disconnects) that create hidden delivery risk.
2) Apply a diagnostic framework to surface change-related risks earlier using practical stakeholder questions you can put to work immediately.
3) Translate ‘soft’ readiness signals into risks, issues and dependencies that align with existing project governance and decision-making processes.
