A certain acronym has a rising profile. VUCA stands for volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous. Just because that acronym might fit the outside world, it shouldn’t describe your workplace. Imitating the right metaphors and adopting the right habits leads to the word-for-word opposite of VUCA: smooth, confident, plain, and clear.
When teams surrender to VUCA, their discipline, empathy, and project success rate are low. This session gives a preview of the ingredients to pursue high discipline, empathy, and project success rates. Surrendering to VUCA emphasizes the infinite activity of meetings and email. Solving VUCA emphasizes the finite productivity of work worth keystrokes (documentation).
Here's what you'll learn
- How to detect VUCA
- Foundation for its opposite, “Elegance”
- Synchronizing and tuning your Communication Symphony
