We welcome David Smyth, the Executive Vice President of GPM Global, https://greenprojectmanagement.org/  and a leading advocate for sustainable regeneration. He is a senior strategy and leadership professional with a 20+ year background in Business Development, Management Consulting and Product Development. PMI and GPM formed a partnership in February 2022 to bring PMI’s global community to GPM’s deep expertise in advancing sustainability through innovative practices in project management.

David’s experience includes Practice Leadership specializing in Portfolio/Project Management with both public and private sector clientele in a range of industries including Energy, Oil & Gas, Health Care, Logistics and Aerospace and Defense. He has championed new products for GPM and previously with multilateral organizations such as the World Bank and accelerated their growth globally. In November, David spoke to the PMI-Phoenix Chapter.  David resides in Toronto, Canada, with his wife and son.

David’s topic, “Regeneration: The Next Frontier for Sustainability” will include the history of GPM, the product ecosystem (training, research, and assessment tools), where GPM is today, the origins of the SDGs, the 7 Waves of Sustainability, the P5 Standard, and how to use it successfully and effectively.
