Mr. James R Snyder is a Founder of PMI, Fellow of the Institute, past Volunteer Executive Director, President, Chairman, and active participant in the Institute. His awards include PMI Man of the Year, Honorary Life Member of PMI and 2010 recipient of the James J. O’Brien Lifetime Achievement Award from the PMI College of Scheduling. Jim is a founding member of the Delaware Valley Chapter, the Pharmaceuticals SIG, and the College of Scheduling and is a member of the Publications Board of Project Management Journal. The James R. Snyder Knowledge and Wisdom Center is named in his honor. He is Chairman Emeritus of the PMI Educational Foundation and the Foundation’s Student Paper Award is given in his name. Mr. Snyder is retired from SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals with 37 years experience in computer sciences, operations research, international marketing, and finance. He holds a BS in IM from Ga Tech and an MBA from Drexel. He was an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers and is currently an advisor to the PMI Delaware Valley Chapter.
