Did you know …

  • LinkedIn has over 740+ million users worldwide and welcomes a new member every two seconds?
  • The best time for thought leadership postings on LinkedIn to create engagement is Tuesdays between 10-11 a.m. and the best times for shares is 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.?
  • 94% of recruiters are using LinkedIn to find job candidates and they spend an average of 6 seconds looking at either a resume or a LinkedIn profile?

With statistics like these, how can you define your value proposition, optimize your LinkedIn profile, and leverage your competitive edge for career transition or career management?

This informative workshop will delve into a research-based philosophy and strategies to create a LinkedIn profile that is geared towards viewers with average attention spans of about 7 seconds. You’ll get insights into the role of cognitive neuroscience and how the evolution of the “digital brain” is central to what and how people skim online content. You will discover tips, tricks, and best practices to more strategically format your LinkedIn profile, optimize your use of keywords, and differentiate your personal brand.

Learning Objectives:

By attending this session, you’ll learn:

  • Where in your profile to effectively incorporate keywords
  • How to clearly brand yourself
  • How to develop your “secret sauce” to stand out
  • How to strategically format and streamline your profile
  • When, where, and why you need to engage in thought leadership

Event Calendar Notes

The Event Calendar indicates upcoming all Chapter events for the current calendar year and beyond.

Chapter Events

It is anticipated that each PMI-DVC monthly event meeting planning process commences at least several months in advance.  For 2021 all events will be virtual unless Government Regulations permit us to hold in-person meetings.  The Virtual platform we plan to use in 2021 will be Zoom.  We intend to use features of Zoom such as Breakout Rooms and Polling during planned events. Event attendance typically ranges from to 200 to 250 attendees.  The program committee does review the various Project Management and related subjects and ensures we are not repeating a subject on a frequent basis.  The Program Committee also awards Professional development Units or PDU’s at the conclusion of each event.  The transmission of PDU’s to PMI usually occurs within 2 weeks after the meeting has concluded. We always welcome our Chapter Members comments and suggestions via a feedback survey, which is distributed at the conclusion of each event.  If a member cannot send their comments on the survey, they can send their comments directly to Frank McKeown VP Professional Development at fmckeown@pmi-dvc.org or via cell at 917-295-9419.
