The PMI Delaware Valley Chapter has been approved by the Project Management Institute to be an Authorized Training Partner (ATP).
- Kristi’s career over the last 30 years has been primarily in the Information Technology field. Starting with 10 years at The Walt Disney Company, she learned IT from the ground up. She started with the help desk and eventually started managing IT teams and Training PC teams on how to support Apple devices. In 2005, she went back to school to get her Bachelors degree in Information Technology in addition to her IT certifications.
- In 2001 she was introduced to Project Management and was certified as a PMP in 2008. Even though IT work was predominantly projects the language was not common. She fell in love with project management and has managed projects in Healthcare, Finance, IT, Manufacturing, Construction, Government, Clinical, and Telecommunications. She has been involved in creating new PMO’s and improving the abilities of PMO’s.
- Kristi has served on the Executive Board of PMI Delaware Valley starting as Director of Training and ending as President. Her volunteer activities include being involved in the Educational team and with the PMI Educational Foundation to provide project management for K-12 programs in the Philadelphia School Districts and other volunteer work with K-12 programs.
- Kristi also taught Project Management at Delaware County Community College, Penn State Great Valley, and the University of Delaware. Now that virtual training is being offered, she is looking forward to teaching again. In her spare time, she takes care of her 3 dogs, 8 cats, 1 horse, and 1 goat and is a Registered Yoga Teacher.
Barbara is the Faculty Program Director of Technology Projects and MIS (Management Information Systems) instructor for the Lerner College, Accounting and MIS Department, University of Delaware. She also serves as the Director of the Project Management certificate program for UD’s Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) division and is an Authorized Training Provider (ATP) for PMI-DVC.
Barbara, runs both the MIS senior capstone program as well as the Global Enterprise Technology (GET) Immersion program. Barbara teaches undergraduate, graduate and professional development courses and workshops in project management (PM), IT PM, and enterprise architecture. Prior to becoming a full time faculty member in 2016, Barbara was the Director of Information Technology for Lerner.
Barbara’s IT career has spanned 25 years in both the public and private sectors. In industry, Barbara served as Vice President of Central Engineering within the IT Managed Services Division of SunGuard High Availability and IT Director of CCOR, a global telecommunications manufacturer in the cable network space. She provided strategic leadership on global ERP, supply chain, data center builds and recovery projects demonstrating a track record of successful implementations. She has presented project successes at major conferences such as Oracle Apps World and EDUCAUSE. Barbara has led university-wide projects at Penn State and successfully implemented new cutting edge technology projects for Lerner.

She received her BS in Business Administration from Marymount, New York, and graduated from the inaugural class of the Executive MBA Program at the Pennsylvania State University. A self-proclaimed IT Project Management geek, Barbara became a member of the Project Management Institute in 1996, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in 2000, certified Scrum Master in 2007 and in 2020 a certified ATP instructor for PMI-DVC.

Dr. Gershon, a PMP and Master Black Belt, has over 30 years of experience in Project Management and Lean-Six Sigma-Process Improvement–Quality Management. He began as a Quality Engineer in the Project Management office for the Army over 40 years ago. He then worked as a Project Manager for Control Data Corporation and then joined Temple University as a professor. He served 15 years as chairman of Temple’s Operations Management department and began his project management consulting with NASA in the 1980’s. He has worked with companies all over the world to improve their project performance, has written books and papers on these subjects, and has won awards for both his teaching and his publications. He is particularly proud that both IIL and ESI, the world’s two largest training firms in project management, have sent some of their trainers to his classes to learn how to train for them.
Ruth Anne Guerrero Project Management Consulting, LLC was founded in 2015 for the purpose of providing consulting and training in project management. Ruth Anne has more than 25 years of project management experience in the property and casualty insurance, electric and gas utilities, cable business, healthcare and financial services industries, and specializes in improving the ability of organizations to deliver projects and project benefits as planned. Her extensive success is in standardizing project management processes and promoting ways that the project management discipline can help organizations to improve their project execution. These standards facilitate the attainment of their strategic business goals, and these results have been well documented in numerous white papers and project management books.
Her passion for the project management profession led Ruth Anne to become a founding member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Long Island Chapter, where she served on the Board of Directors for several years. She worked for PMI from 2005 – 2006, and served as President of the PMI Delaware Valley Chapter from 2011-2013. She represented TD Bank, N.A. on PMI’s Global Executive Council from 2012 – 2015. Ruth Anne is a much sought after speaker on a wide variety of project management topics.
Ruth Anne is excited to be able to apply her experience to companies in various industries, large or small, that have a need to implement or grow their project management capabilities either by working with the project managers or project management offices directly, or providing guidance to company executives!
Glenn is a registered professional engineer (PE) and a certified project management professional (PMP). He received both his BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri. He recently completed a successful 40-year career with DuPont. As the engineering director for one of the company’s business units, he was responsible for the development and management of their strategic capital investment portfolio. During his career he managed several large projects in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He currently teaches project management at the University of Delaware as well as other institutions. Glenn has also served as a director of education for the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Project Management Institute. In 2013 he started his own consulting firm, Sustainable Project Solutions, and has provided project management consultation for numerous multinational companies. Glenn is currently on the Board of Trustees for Ursuline Academy in Wilmington Delaware. His volunteer activities included leadership positions with the Boy Scouts of America and Junior Achievement of Delaware.
Over twenty-five years as an IT services professional with expertise in portfolio, program and project management, networking technologies, business analysis, consulting, and education. Practice formal (PMI) yet practical project management disciplines, integrating new methodologies such as Six Sigma (green belt), ITIL and critical chain. Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills. Since 2004 at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, manage multiple programs and projects for interdisciplinary (IT, clinical, facilities, operations) teams in support of hospital initiatives. Lead team of 6-8 direct reports (PMs) with specific focus in Infrastructure, Information Security, and Digital Health. Develop requirements, charters, implementation plans; deliver status and review sessions to multiple levels of leadership, validate project deliverables, manage budgets, and perform lessons learned. Have led IT Project Management Office (PMO) and developed methodology.
Bill has the rare distinction of being employed at the same company for a long career from the early days of computers entering the business world until today where computers are literally everywhere. The name of his employer has changed over the years due to mergers (DEC->CPQ->HP->) but he has celebrated over 44 years of continued service at one company now named - DXC.
Originally walking the streets in downtown Philly with toolbox, oscilloscope and parts kits, Bill was a field tech dispatched to customer sites to fix mini-computers that were not working. But he realized he wanted to do more like prevent failures, teach others, and determine the best processes for supporting and delighting the customers. This led to discovering the world of project management.
Membership in PMI was followed by PMP certification in 1993 and these were turning points that led him to be VP of Programs and Chapter President for the PMI-Delaware Valley Chapter. Bill is a ubiquitous user and expert of the PMBOK Guide. These skills are used in-house and in the PM community with Bill developing course materials and delivering training at local colleges and universities in partnership with PMI-DVC. Bill has been a speaker at PMI Global Conference and Chapter Members Meetings along with article publications.
A vast experience with formal and informal training including Myers Briggs Type Indicator Certified Administrator (MBTI), Center for Creative Leadership Benchmarks Certification (CCL), ISO9000 Lead Auditor, Green Belt Certification with constant learning, supports Bill’s current roles in global program and engagement management.
Bill is married with 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. This busy family and his interests in computers and cars take up all of the spare time.
