Updated September 14, 2020:
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Delaware Valley metro area forced testing centers to operate at less than 30% capacity and that capacity is shared between PMI and hundreds of other testing clients. In addition to reduced capacity, some testing locations did not survive the shut downs and closed. While testing centers have traditionally been our default for candidates, we have acknowledged that center-based delivery during COVID19 is subject to the unpredictability of the virus and the impact of social distancing mandates from local authorities. As a result PMI quickly pivoted to enable candidates to take the PMP online and PMI highly recommends that candidates opt for online proctored testing (OPT) instead, which is available 24X7, from a location of their choosing on their own device and network.
Appointments for online testing are readily available. Depending on the time or day that the appointment is desired, there are still some slots left for the month of September and plenty of appointments through the end of the year! In fact, PMI is working to make even more slots available to support the anticipated surge with the exam change. We highly recommend that candidates register for these exams in advance to confirm their slot. For more details on how online testing works, please click here.
